The perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie?

A debut psychological thriller you can’t miss!

-Lesley Pearse, bestselling author of Without a Trace

‘This one is 2016’s answer to Gone Girl. Nuff said.’
-Women’s Health UK

‘You’ll love this’
-The Sun

’BEHIND CLOSED DOORS is both unsettling and addictive, as I raced through the pages to find out Grace’s fate. A chilling thriller that will keep you reading long into the night.’
–Mary Kubica, bestselling author of The Good Girl

Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You might not want to like them, but you do.
You’d like to get to know Grace better.
But it’s difficult, because you realise Jack and Grace are never apart.
Some might call this true love. Others might ask why Grace never answers the phone. Or how she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. And why there are bars on one of the bedroom windows.
Sometimes, the perfect marriage is the perfect lie.

‘Behind Closed Doors gives us a glimpse into the realities of a ‘perfect marriage’, with addictive and heart pounding moments guaranteed to have you looking at your friends and neighbours differently.’
-Margaret Madden, Bleach House Library

I have to say this was the most amazing book I had read in a while. I couldn’t stop reading it and was so upset when it finished. An amazing roller coaster of emotions of fear and nervousness and even at one point feeling sick in the pit of my stomach. Absolutely excellent so take a moment and read it you will not be disappointed!

Without a word of a lie I read this in a day. This novel is compelling and gripping beyond belief, having you on the edge of the seat until the very last page, and even then I was wanting more.

The one you have been waiting for!…

I read a lot of psychological thrillers as well as true crime books. Nearly all of them promising to have you gripped in the latest dark and twisting story… Truthfully, I was expecting this book to be another one of those that was OK but nothing particularly memorable. I genuinely couldn’t put it down. They way it is written is so brutally honest you could be reading a diary. It flows so well, and the fact that it doesn’t try so hard to shock you with big leaps and plot twists makes it so hauntingly realistic that you start to realise that although it may not be to this extreme, that you genuinely don’t ever truly know what is going on around you hidden in plain sight. I would thoroughly recommend this book and will look out for this author in future.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Loved it. Not as good as Gone Girl but certainly as good as Girl on a Train. My only downside is that I was getting more and more frustrated that the main character was stringing things out. If you like a good psychological thriller than this is worth a read.

Do we really know what goes on behind them?

Loved it. Definitely slightly chilling – you never knows what goes on behind closed doors, do you? How many people do we know who don’t reveal the truth. Read it!

It is a great read and I couldn’t put it down

This book goes from past to present until the two merge. It is a great read and I couldn’t put it down. It normally takes me weeks to read books but I read this within a week. It takes a good book to get me to read so much before I get bored. I was gripped. Excellent read.

Good

Generally good. I think it would have been better to start the book in the past as once you start reading in the present and then jump back and forth, it becomes easy to see how Jack was which takes some of the “thrill” out of this thriller. Personally, maybe because I read a lot of books, I partially foresaw the ending which was a shame.

Amazing… read it in a day!

I loved this book. I loved the style of writing in past and present.

Unputdownable

Loved how the book kept you on the edge of your seat through the entire story. Not been so glued to a book in a long time. I wasn’t expecting much as it was the first thriller book I’ve read. Reason I’m only giving it 4 stars is because it left a few unanswered questions.

Oh my, what a read!!!!

I don’t leave reviews, purely because I read so many books, BUT I had to for this book. Gripping, suspenseful and on the edge of your seat, (or in my case, the bed, because that’s when I read!!!). I couldn’t switch the light off, I was so hooked.
