If you’re new to BBQ as I am, this book should be first on the list. I’m not sure I’ll need another BBQ cookbook for years. I would have liked a little more on the issues of equipment selection and usage in particular fire control, but apart from that it’s got all the info you need, some great recipes to get started and most importantly a breakdown of the essentials that will allow you to build experience and then springboard into experimenting and creating your own signature flavours. Apart from all of that, it’s a great biography too! Brilliant.

..this should be it. After having chewed my way through years of charred on the outside raw on the inside British BBQ and having eaten wonderful BBQ in Texas, Memphis Kansas and Chicago I bought this book hoping to finally be able to cook proper US style BBQ at home. It delivers everything you could want and is worth buying for the Memphis style ribs recipe alone. Buy this and you will never want for better BBQ at home.

What a great book! along with all the recipes they’re are lots of tips on how long to cook for and lots of marinades. We have quite a lot of recipe books but this one is a bit different to the norm and a welcome addition to our shelf. Would definately recommend it.

This is a graet book with fantastic recipies. The book tells you as well the history of Big Bob Gibson in a light and entertaining way. The recpies are understandable and not difficult to make, the book tries to give you the love of BBQ, and it succeeds in that
