An expert in the subject.

Carl Vogel explains in detail the workings and calculations of converting an ICE into an EV. The book helps to better understand the component parts required and their functions, along with where best to acquire these components in America.

Well written book very informative.

Carl Vogel does an excellent job of describing his own actual build and running of he’s motorcycle. He really does inspire without too much hyper technical details.

Excellent book, has been invaluable to me

I found this an invaluable book. As a general overview it reads very well in its own right, but where it really scores is the masses of calculations and formulae that will help you to understand how to design and build your own bike. Whether you want to understand the general forces (wind resistance, acceleration loads etc), or need to know more about motors, batteries and controllers, the information is here. It contains links to companies, forums, etc for further research.

Good but not exhaustive and very opinionated.

Like the reviewer below I was quite turned off by the opinions and statistics the author put forward in the first few chapters. However, this wasn’t why I bought the book.
