An emotional but ultimately heart warming read.

An emotional but ultimately heart warming read. All the characters are well written and pull an immediate emotional response from you, both good and bad, like or dislike, making them real characters you can relate to.

Lovely heartwarming read!

If you have read my reviews before you may know that I am a bit of a cover whore – I was absolutely drawn to this one, beautiful!

Enjoyable, gentle stand alone story

I never know what to expect when I download a book for free. I was very pleasantly surprised with this one. It was a very gentle story with a few surprises along the way but nothing jarred or felt that it didn’t belong in the storyline. The story wasn’t long enough for the characters to get real depth but it was written so sympathetically that I was pulled in and read it in one go. I even cried a few times (once in the doctor’s waiting room which was a little bit embarrassing) which isn’t like me at all. Having said all that I don’t think I will bother with the rest of the series. We haven’t been introduced to the rest of the family to make us wonder what happens next.

This is the first book I have read by this author, but I have been desperate to get my hands on a fabulous Christmas book that leaves you all warm and fuzzy. This book does just that. It has that Hallmark Chanel feel to it. Heartache brings two people together at Christmas. It was meant to be for Molly and Mack. Without giving any of the story, it is perfect. You just have to read it.

Should have been longer!

The storyline was excellent, and the characters all fitted in very nicely together, but I wished the story had been developed over a little more time. For a woman who had experienced such tragedy, and was still (understandably) having problems coming to terms with it after three years, I did feel her sudden mad passion for her employer might be just that, and that maybe it should take more than a week for them to fall deeply enough in love with each other to commit to marriage, especially since he was still carrying a pile of emotional baggage, too. The jumping into bed was quite understandable – although a couple of the descriptive sentences were slightly too graphic for the tone of the rest of the warm, comfortable, purely-romantic tale – but I was left thinking that they would each have a lot of adjusting to do, when they actually knew so little about each other.

A good read for a novella

Harley is still grieving from the tragedy in her life and can’t face her well meaning family at Christmas time. She takes a temporary job as a housekeeper on a ranch in Montana while their normal housekeeper is away. She loves the semi solitary life with the snow, looking out at the mountains, looking after the taciturn ranch owner, Brock, and his ranch hands.

I love a good Christmassy story

I love a good Christmassy story. Was in tears by the end of the book. Not many writers have that effect on me.

Fabulous story.

Makes you believe that things do happen for a reason. That hearts can be mended with love. Two strong powerful characters, both of them needing love and the magic of Christmas. Perfect holiday story.

Both of the main characters had gone through loss of loved ones both by horrific circumstances. They fight to plan out a life to find happiness love and a family life. Two opposites lost and loved again excellent storyline keeps you reading to the last sentence.
