Are you happy?

Over a span of eleven years, Brandon Wolfe backpacked throughout fifteen different countries, having been chased by wild animals, contracted one of the world’s deadliest diseases three different times, witnessed multiple natural wonders of the Earth, found himself in the middle of demonic deliverances, and set foot in villages that had never seen white people before. He was also told in 2005 by medical professionals that he had until around age forty (give or take) to live…

Through the incredible adventures and tribulations and every story in between, Brandon discovered the ingredients to organic joy, to true happiness…how he got from point A to point B, however, is purely for your reading entertainment.

This riveting self-help adventure memoir will fundamentally and permanently challenge your worldview, inspire your heart and mind for the positive, and encourage you to view life purpose and happiness from a new, liberating perspective.

"Cold Beer and a Hot Dart" is currently being written into a screenplay for film.

This book comes highly recommended. What a wonderful travel memoir. Its honest, funny, enlightening, spiritual and extremely entertaining. I loved every minute of reading this book and hope more people discover and read it also.

It certainly made me want to make the best of the one life I’ve been lucky enough to be bestowed with.

Cold Beer by Brandon Wolfe is a book about journeys, both inwardly and outwardly and tells us about how Wolfe went on an outer journey through several countries in an attempt to ‘find’ himself in his search for “organic happiness”. In the telling of the story I felt as though I were on a rollercoaster ride of countries, encounters and emotions. I find his style to be charming and non-judgemental. He simply takes in the beauty of the world and tells us about it while he draws various conclusions. I would say one of the greatest strengths in this book is the power of the descriptive parts, with the world being described exactly how Wolfe sees it. The writing is both brave and honest as we are led through every aspect of his travels from encounters with prostitutes and drugs and the effect these have on his emotions. While there is a desire to explore in all of us, Wolfe further re-awakens that sense by writing so eloquently. Although we learn about Wolfe’s own spirituality I feel that he doesn’t tell us about it in a ‘preachy’ way and we are left to make up our own mind about how we feel as a spiritual being. If you read this with an open mind, you will be able to view the world clearly, as seen through someone else’s eyes. This book epitomizes an interesting ‘coming of age’ story that encapsulates the beauty of the world and the power of strong friendships. It certainly made me want to make the best of the one life I’ve been lucky enough to be bestowed with. Five stars, no doubt!
