His Pa gave him the ivory-handled Colt; Ben Kinrich taught him how to use it.

This, in his owns words, is the tale of Rondo Landon.

Rondo is a troubled gunfighter with quite a past. Recognized by his six-gun, he is known for robbing banks, stagecoaches, payrolls, and rustling cows. Now, locked in a jail, it looks like Rondo will be facing a long term prison term, or worse.

But, before that happens, Rondo has a few things to say…

The story is told by the gunfighter Rondo Landon in first person style. He doesn’t try to justify his actions, sitting in jail he tells the path he took in life, and its consequences.

Enjoyably familiar Western with enough wrinkles to make it interesting.

This is a very readable Western – a genre which is poorly served these days.

I loved this book. It was really interesting to see Rondo develop from a green teenager into a savvy gunfighter. I really enjoyed the gunfights and first person narrative. I could really hear Rondo’s voice throughout. A really enjoyable read!

A good four star read

I am an avid reader usually about ten books a week as Amazon will verify. However my preference is for FACT books whether it be Crime, War ,History ,or Autobiographies However this story was a ripping good read especially as it was outside my usual reading choices. The only thing that prevented it being five star in my opinion is it was a little drawn out. However if you are a fiction fan especially of Westerns I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy settling down to a good yarn.

Top read couldn’t stop reading once I’d started, usually read true stories but this book has changed my opinion for sure 10/10 ca

I cannot remember ever reading a western before but the synopsis intrigued me. I was not let down and I enjoyed every minute of it. I recommend it.
