"I know conventional wisdom isn't working for you, because it's not working for anyone! The first step to rescuing your health is understanding WHY everyone else believes and follows the nutrition and training recommendations that have unfortunately become common knowledge."

Nutrition and Fitness Expert, Mike Sheridan, uncovers everything that's 'wrong' with fat loss and exercise advice in Eat Meat And Stop Jogging. Inspired by personal practice and supported by credible research, Mike discusses the flaws in the prevailing recommendations to get fit, and illustrates the negative affect on our health and body composition.

Despite conventional beliefs, Eat Meat And Stop Jogging contends that the instruction to limit red meat, restrict calories, increase fiber, run long distances, avoid saturated fat and reduce cholesterol is increasing our waistline, decreasing our lifespan, and leading to an unnecessary struggle.

This book really makes you think about how you keep healthy. The advise within this book will definitely help me as I continue to strive for a healthy lifestyle. Definitely recommend this book to anyone either looking to lose weight or keep healthy.

Informative and motivating, but a little one-sided

An entertaining and informative read. The recommendations fit my biases, so I enjoyed it and will take a lot of the advice. The science is obviously well researched, but after seeing and hearing some opposing arguments, particularly from Rhonda Patrick, it feels somewhat one-sided.

I’ve read a lot of dieting and fitness books over the years and, due to the rather provocative title, this one immediately caught my eye. It has long been realised by many that dieting doesn’t work in the longer term, and yet diet fads still seem to come and go with alarming regularity. This book turns the dieting industry completely on its head as it challenges current ways of thinking including restricting calories to lose weight and blaming saturated fat for heart disease.

Intriguing read!

The title of this book really caught my attention. I have always been interested in the different ways in which people successfully achieve a healthy weight, but more importantly the way in which this can be maintained. With the amount of fad diets available, and “get thin quick” methods online, it’s really important to understand what really helps a person to achieve a healthy weight.

Very informative book

When I saw the title of this book, I immediately laughed out loud because I thought it was quite funny and sounded really interesting. The author’s assertion is that the popular information about dieting and weight loss is flawed and it is actually making people fat and shortening lifespan. He suggests that we take another look and have an open mind. He says that lowering calorie intake and increasing exercise will make you lose weight fast, but not all the weight you lose is fat, healthy or sustainable. Apparently, it is not the number of calories in a meal that matter it’s the quality and composition of those calories.

This book makes sense

I enjoyed this book and liked the way it disproves that many modern dieting fads aren’t true. Great read and good advice. Highly recommended!
