I have this kindle to replace the one which went accidentally into the washing machine! As a kindle to download and read books I have found it tricky, to buy is fine, downloading can take ages and doesn’t always seem to happen, and when I was on holiday without WiFi tri tapped on a book I was already reading next leaving home and I was told that it was protected by DRM and to take it out of my kindle and down loaded it again or ‘re buy it, could not do that as I was not connected to wifi, I will at some point make a call request to sort it as going to the help pages I find a minefield, I really do want a simpler life! Other than the loss of being able to have that instant chat line which I had with the previous kindle I like this one very much, Amazon really need to tighten up the book reading process I’m not at all happy with that.

This is an improvement on my previous HD Fire Kindle (2nd? generation) not least that it support more apps as well as carrying my books and music.

New to the world of Tablets.

At 76 years of age, I decided to purchase my first tablet. Being a satisfied user of a Kindle reader, I decided to try the Amazon Fire 8 HD. Then my wife stepped in and said that this could be a Christmas present from her. Which was nice.

This is my 3rd Kindle so obviously I love it. I did have an ipad but found there were a lot of apps on it which as a pensioner was no use to me. I find the Kindle easy to use, easy to navigate from one app to another. I don’t listen to music on it or play games so am unable to judge these
