An excellent aid to help sort a new ipad user out namely my wife who has listened to all the advise from daughters about the wonders of the ipad, bought one then asks me a pc user since 1986 how to use it, yes thanks for that, finding it chalk to cheese and not having the time or inclination to keep being asked how to do this or that I sent for this book in desperation, and presented to said wife, peace has been restored again. and my wife is becoming a ipad user using the internet emailing taking pictures and enjoying her ipad which I am not now allowed to touch. yes!!

So good, that half the class bought one

I teach computing to adult learners and I actually bought this little book to help me quickly learn the iPad (as I don’t own one but lots of my students had one). The book is so good that half the class ended up buying one, and one student who’d borrowed it, insisted on buying it from me.

I would recommend it to

A useful book to keep at home for reference but too big and heavy to carry around.. A well laid out document, with coloured illustrations throughout and good value for money. I learnt more from the book in 10minutes than i have learnt during two years of iPad ownership.

I found this book excellent for explaining the iPad, and helping you get where and do what you wanted to.. I had no experience of Apple and I wanted to know the operating system. I know Android extremely well and I must say that now I know what I do I would prefer Android system. any day. This book is easy to get on with and if you get stuck you usually find out what to do to get ‘unstuck’. It doesn’t cover Apple’s latest update which is 11 (but it does cover 10 with (NEW) written beside the paragraph.
