Can Fang escape a terrifying prophesy?

Maximum Ride is used to surviving – living constantly under threat from evil forces sabotaging her quest to save the world – but nothing has ever come as close to destroying her as the horrifying prophesy that Fang will be the first to die. Fang is Max's best friend, her soulmate, her partner in leadership of her flock of bird kids. A life without him is a life unimaginable.

Max's desperate desire to protect Fang brings the two closer together than ever. But when a newly created winged boy, the magnificent Dylan, is introduced into the flock, their world is upended yet again. Raised in a lab like the others, Dylan exists for only one reason: he was designed to be Max's perfect other half.

Thus unfolds a battle of science against soul, perfection versus passion, that terrifies, twists, and turns … and meanwhile, the apocalypse is coming.

This was worth the wait! Fang is totally action packed and very funny, and Patterson has played out Max and Fang’s relationship really well-it wasn’t all lovey dovey, annoying and slightly gross, but really nice. Angel, believe it or not, certainly gets more creepy in this book, and although she scared me at times, it makes the plot of this book amazing! It really has everything-love, action, scares and a little education (flock style). I particularly liked this because of Patterson’s tendensy to base his books on current issues-this was about drug testing on children in Africa by big corporations, which was really touching. And the question of whether or not Fang will die? I’m not saying, just that he’ll make you laugh and he’ll make you cry. Either way, I am sure that you will love this book. 5/5

Amazing.

It was amazing. I got it in the mail yesterday and read it in an hour and a half. It was amazing. It will definitely shock you. The rumors are true. Nothing in it will disappoint you. I am praying that there will be another one coming out. This series is a must read.

Maximum Ride: FANG: Nobody is Immortal

Having read this book at least five times over, I think it’s clear to say that this book is the my favourite out of the whole Maximum Ride Series. I believe that Patterson takes Max and the flock’s story to the next level as, when the flock journey to Africa, Angel reveals a nerve-wracking prophecy; Fang will be the first to die.
