Nobody said saving the world would be easy.

Until now, Max and the flock have lived a lonely existence: hunted down, tortured, and pushed to the fringe of society; always on the run, they have never been able to live a normal life. But things are changing.

The flock have finally found acceptance for their extraordinary skills. The avian hybrids don't have to hide away any longer – far from it: now everyone wants to see just what they can do. But fame and fortune always come at a price and Max isn't ready for all the glitz and glamour just yet. Meanwhile sinister forces are plotting their attack, putting more than just the flock in danger.

Something deadly is lurking in the depths of the ocean. As the flock uncover a terrible secret set to threaten the world, can they save the day or is this a disaster too tough to tackle, even for them?

At least it was better than the fourth…

I have to say, having read the fourth one i was expecting this one to be exactly the same, terrible. But some of my confidence was renewed in the series with this book. Of course nothing will ever compare to the genius of the first three books, especially now that all our favourite aspects (the School, the erasers) have been removed and replaced with global warming, but it wasn’t too bad.

Patterson’s back! Beware, spoilers.

This book is so much better than the last book. I was glad that my theory that the last book was merely a filler between the 3rd book and this one.

Good but not great

I bought this book because I have enjoyed the trilogy but it was nothing like the first few book. It was as if someone else was writing it! SPOILERS I mean for starters I know that we do need to do something about global warming but I want to read books that make me feel good about myself not books that preach to you about global warming. Another I didn’t like about it was that they got more powers. I still Don’t understand why fang and max both needed gills. I also still no nothing about Mr chu even though this book was supposed to be based on him taking max’s mum who is mentioned in about 4 chapters. I felt as if this book was a book that didn’t need to be written. The only reason why I have it 4 stars is because I like the trilogy. I would recommend this book to no one

A great read for teens, young adults, anyone!

I started reading this series after reading the Alex cross novels. Although this series is aimed at teens I wouldn’t dismiss reading if you are older! (I am 27). I really enjoyed following the loveable characters and after each book in the series couldn’t help but wonder what they would be up to next. Very easy casual reading, doesn’t require too much attention or thought. I would recommend to anyone, but especially perhaps people who don’t really read that often.

The Best Yet

With love on the horizon and danger around every corner Maximum Ride: Max has to be the best one yet. Max finally accepts her love for Fang and we find out that stubborn little Angel is right after all. I couldn’t recommend the Maximum Ride series enough, all seven books, soon to be eight. They have twists around every corner and the action never stops with a love story chucked in as well there is a little bit for everyone.
