This is quite simply the best book for anyone wishing to learn about the UK based Music Industry. I’ve been using it since the first edition, both as a music industry professional and more latterly as a University based Music Industry lecturer. Ann writes about complex matters in clear and plain English. Thankfully Ann has no interest in showing off her ‘academic’ abilities by rambling on about Adorno and the wicked music industry; instead the book is packed with solid facts that will help you do your music business job well. Whether you are writing your University essay, registering your songs, releasing your recordings or managing an Artist, Ann’s outlook is realistic and positive and this book will help you get things right.
