Good grief this book is amazing! The author is so clever with the way she gives you the story and takes you on a wild roller coaster of emotion. It builds slowly at the start and you find yourself wondering whether you should put it down. Then from nowhere she dumps a ton of absolute chaos and heartbreak onto her character Rosie. I was a teary mess over a herbal tea whilst reading this! Very satisfying ending too!

Another excellent read by this author

I’m so glad that I recently discovered this author. Her books are about characters with real issues we all face. This book particularly touched me & I felt a real connection with the main character Rosie. Rosie is a loving mother & wife, happy with her ‘lot’, until it all comes crumbling down. She faces a lot of heartache & I felt her despair, especially when support wasn’t offered by some of those she trusted the most. Look forward to the next novel!

I enjoyed this book very ‘m much, finishing it off in just a few sittings. Rosie is an endearing character and you can’t help but feel very sad for her as the story progresses, although luckily things work out ok in the end. The setting is lovely, Devon is a particular love of mine so I enjoyed the references to the scenery and coastline. Good, light quick read.

My marriage broke up some 30 years ago but everything Rosie went through I could relate to. I cried with her, laughed with her and felt her pain.

This was not the type of book I normally read. I am a forensic pathology fan and love Patricia Cornwell, Tess Gerritsen type novels. However I bought it and couldn’t put it down. Having been through Rosie’s plight many, many years ago, I empathised with her in so many ways. I loved the happy ending and was so pleased Rosie had the strength to go for what she wanted at the end.
