I got into this book really quickly. The twits kept me gripped. However there was a bit near the end that baffled me ever so slightly. Something I guess the author forgot to explain in relation to a UK mobile telephone number & its origins Don’t let that put you off reading this book though, I will definitely be reading more from this author

Tense and emotional story as the lies gradually unfold. Then just when you think all the questions have been answered there is a final sting in the tail. Great read.

Is it a good thing…

…to want to repeatedly slap a fictional character? I choose to think that it is. After all, if you don’t connect enough to care if a character is digging her own grave, that’s surely a failing on the part of the writer? This writer did not fail. Frustrated as I was every time protagonist Clare did precisely the wrong thing in her attempt to get to the bottom of a potentially life threatening mystery, I was compelled to read on. There were plenty potential antagonists and at one point I was off on a tangent brought about by what I assume was a deliberate red herring. All in all, a very decent psychological thriller.
