This is thoroughly interesting but some assertions have been disproved by modern scientific advances hence 4 stars. It constitutes a prodigious amount of work and gives a compelling narrative about the development of the types of dogs and their relationship with man.

An Informative Book

The style is old fashioned and the pages are condensed making it a hard read. Nevertheless I will say that if you want solid information on the origins of dogs breeds and an insight into how they evolved, this has some real solid facts.
