Since she started working at Plumberry, Verity Bloom is happier than she’s been in years. So when an unexpected tragedy leaves her feeling bittersweet, she is all the more determined to see the cookery school flourish.

But after a misunderstanding, her budding romance seems to be cooling down, and Verity’s plans for the future look like they might be crumbling. To patch things up, it might be time for Verity to open up about her past and share her secrets with Tom . . .

But with big decisions on the horizon, can Verity find the magic ingredient for The Plumberry School of Comfort Food while writing her own recipe for happiness?

The Plumberry School of Comfort Food is an irresistibly charming novel told in four parts – following the adventures of Verity Bloom in love, friendship and cooking. This is the final part.

A wonderful end to a wonderful series.

I always eagerly await each part of Bramley’s series’, but the final instalment is bitter sweet as I know we’ll then be leaving the characters, and in this case the wonderful Plumberry School of Comfort Food.

I’m actually kind of sad to be writing this review

I’m actually kind of sad to be writing this review. I really didn’t war this book/series/quartet to finish. I have enjoyed this book immensely, and has been such a pleasure to read. The Plumberry School of Comfort Food is the first novel I have read in this style. In the four parts. I know this is quit popular of Cathy brambly to do as an author, but for some reason I’ve always waited for a finished book.

Frothy, funny and deep

This is the second series of Cathy Bramley’s that I’ve read. As soon as I’ve finished this review I’ll by the third. Cute and uplifting without being sugary, the stories nevertheless deal with real and difficult situations such as infertility, rape and bereavement. You’ll almost certainly enjoy spending time with her likeable, quirky characters.

A lovely ending to a great ebook series x

A wonderful end to this series of ebooks. Like all the other parts, it is beautifully written with wonderful characters. The whole series has had ups and downs for Verity, the main character. She is the type of person you really want as your friend! Cathy Bramley has a real knack to writing this type of fiction….yes, it’s aimed at women, and yes, it ends happily…..she just knows what we want to read. Expect a tear, I certainly had a cry reading this. For those that are holding off for the whole book to come out, you are in for a treat 🙂

The Magic Ingredient

This last installment is an emotional tear jerker so be warned! NOT a dry eye to be seen. Lots of important decisions to be made by Verity including how to sort out the mess of her love life and how to explain the mystery of Noah. In the end I was so relieved when we discover the man who makes Verity’s pulse race and how she puts all that right – Gabe or Tom!

Excellent Conclusion.

Very good, I won’t give the plot away. But let’s say I was glad about Verity’s choice at the end. Hope like some other person said in their comments, a nice Christmas story of The Plumberry School of Comfort Food. What all the characters are doing.

Sadness and happiness!

We learn the reason for the bond between Gabe, Noah and Verity but it almost cost Verity the chance of starting a new relationship. The plot unrolls to bring the series of books to a close, but with the loss of a great character on the way.

light reading but great for break

A light Summer read though really quite dependant on reading the series, one long book rather than separately standing stories. Don’t let that put you off though as the characters are likeable and I found myself hoping the school would be successful.

A fitting end to a fabulous four part series

Cathy has done it again by providing twisting turns of emotion with a very fitting end to this fabulous four part series. I do hope we see verify and Tom in future books so we can see how they fair in the future. I am not going to give away the ending you will have to read it for yourself but trust me it is so worth it. Once again bravo Cathy, you have excelled yet again, thank you and I eagerly await what you have dreamed up for us next xxx
