The SIRT Diet shows how to incorporate tasty SIRT superfoods into your daily routine and how these foods can help burn fat, increase muscle definition and boost health.

The world of nutrition has been revolutionized by the discovery of a chemical compound naturally found in certain fruits and vegetables called ‘sirtuins.’ These chemicals control the way our bodies deal with fat and sugar, helping to reduce hunger, burn fat and boost anti-ageing health.

Not only do these sirtuin-activating foods – or, SIRT foods – aid weight loss, but they also help build muscle without any additional exercise. People incorporating SIRT foods into their diets have found their bodies get skinnier, leaner and fitter without the time-consuming and hefty price tag of a gym. The best part is that transforming your body is really easy as lots of everyday, tasty favourites are SIRT foods – like olives, tofu, blackcurrants, kale, cocoa and green tea.

Best selling diet expert Jacqueline Whitehart presents a selection of SIRT food rich recipes, meal planners and useful shopping tips to help you transform your diet and find a quick and easy way to lose weight, replacing flab for muscle definition. All the while still eating delicious favourites like dark chocolate, apples and red wine!

The SIRT Diet jumpstarts your fat-burning genes by restricting to 800 calories for the first two days of the week, and then allowing 1,500 SIRT-rich calories for the other five. Jacqueline provides an easy to follow four-week meal plan with over 100 feel-good, calorie-counted recipes packed with these superfoods, from grilled chicken with lemon and olives to pomegranate cheesecake.

So what are you waiting for? Get ready for a whole new you!

Shows you how to do what it says on the cover! Lose weight fast. I love the food, lost weight fast and am keeping it off! It is such a healthy way of eating I’m going to now try to stay on this food for life. Feel really good on it, haven’t felt this way in years.

Highly recommended common sense diet.

This is the best diet I have ever tried for many reasons. Firstly it is an inclusive diet, you are not required to cut anything out, it is balanced and the recipes include carbs, protein, meat, fish, veg and fruit, everything you would have been taught at school you need to eat for a healthy, balanced diet. Secondly it does not leave you hungry. Thirdly the recipes are delicious, the food was much better than the muck I was eating that was making me put on weight. Fourthly, all this healthy food makes me feel fantastic, providing energy instead of sapping it like many exclusion diets do. And finally and mostly importantly, it works – I lost 9lbs in the first week!

excellent explanation of the SIRT diet and tasty recipes too

I picked this up in Tesco’s, never having even heard of the Sirtfoods diet, but am impressed. I subsequently bought the official book from Amazon. This may not have the weight and authority of the “official” book, but the approach is far more user friendly. No diet will work if you can’t stick to it, and Jacqueline’s strategies seem much more flexible and workable, as well as not requiring any special ingredients. This seems to include lots of readily available foods and gives tips on how to incorporate more Sirtfoods into your everyday meals. It is possible that it will not have the same dramatic effects as the “official” diet, but I would prefer to lose more slowly, eating foods that I enjoy, and learning habits that will help me to adapt healthier eating patterns for life. As I spend time in Spain, I need to be able to find the required foods here. Whilst I couldn’t find the ingredients for the green juice, in the official book, I can find many of the foods listed in this book, and thus adapt to what is availabe. Yesterday I made a delicious soup with white beans, swiss chard, watercress, rocket and parsley, and the oranges here are superb at the moment. I also tucked into some exquisite olives and walnuts. This looks good. By the way, I have no idea who the author is; it is pure coincidence that she is also a Jacqueline. I have subsequently checked out her blog and like it.
