The bestselling autobiography of the greatest rugby player of our time: Brian O'Driscoll.

Since 1999, when he made his international debut, there has been no greater player in world rugby than Brian O'Driscoll. In 2010 Rugby World magazine named him its world player of the decade – and since then the legend has only grown.

Now, at the end of his amazing career – which culminated in fairy-tale fashion with Ireland's victory in the 2014 Six Nations championship – he tells his own story. Honest, gritty and thoughtful, Brian O'Driscoll's Autobiography is not just an essential sports book. It is an essential book about family, friends, hard work, courage and imagination.

Customer Reviews

This is a very light and easy read

Simply, the Test tells BOD’s story with lots of little anecdotes that are funny and combine to show what makes him tick. Some demons that trouble him later in his career are exposed. No major insights but perhaps he’s just a simple guy who loves rugby his family and going for a few pints.

Couldn’t love it more

Probably a biased review as I love the ground Brian O’Driscoll walks on but it’s a fully enthralling book and I enjoyed every second of it, I’ve even read it three times.

Good easy read

Definitely worth a read, a few funny parts and insight into his personal life. Although if you’re looking for ‘scandal’ on some of the more controversial topics of his career like the spear tackle/been dropped from the lions he doesn’t really say too much, which is understandable following his new chosen carer path.

A good overall read-bit disappointed more detail wasn’t given around the whole “LIONS DROPPING ” as this was in my view the main focus of the book?? Overall good but more as every rugby fan would appreciate is the class and proud player odriscoll was throughout his whole career!

I only ever read when I’m on holiday I download this autobiography and as a passionate Welsh supporter and a fan of Irishman Brian O’Driscoll what a brilliant read it was Brian seems so down to earth and a true family man it would be great to meet him one day and I wish him and his family all the best for the future

A proper rugby tale

Not the usual match by match reports so common in many sporting autobiographies, but a well written tale of all aspects of the good and not so good times of this great rugby player,
