Honest

What a sad and honest insight into the lives of Tressa and her family. I remember seeing this story in the news, but didn’t read anything about it at the time. The brutal honesty from Tressa, explaining her life, was nothing short of heartbreaking.

Sad life story

This young girl went through an horrific ordeal and the loss of her child due to her circumstances yet she fought to overcome them. Her drug addiction due to her perception that she was to blame for her brother being jailed was a sad reflection on society. She faced her demons and conquered them. I hope that her daughter contacts her when she is older. A book that was not easy to put down when you have started to read it. Thankfully social services helped during some of this young girls life and tried to provide stability.

Sad and chillingly heartbreaking of a childhood stolen …

A harrowing heartbreaking story of a young girl who had her innocence snatched away, who had her years to enjoy the childhood every child deserves to be denied that in the most tragic way is just horrific to learn what this young girl went through is remarkable. A courageous young woman indeed. A compelling read for anyone that read about her story when it first hit the headlines and were curious to read her story.

Tressa’ s story will change your views

This true story gives a remarkable insight into deprivation, incest and cyclical poverty . We all start out so dependent on our patents . many of us are lucky to be born to good living parents who have wonderful aspirations for us . Yet if our parents themselves have been deprived we become victims of deprivation and so it can go on for generations. Tressa’s story makes you less judgemental and makes you realise that there but for the grace of god go I .

Well how do you recover from this sort of abuse.Wow,horrendous upbringing by a mother who had problems so severe she let her daughter suffer at hands of people around her.You have to be strong n move forward n try to forget the abuse but it must be so hard to blank it out of your mind .Survive she did n hopefully she will meet up with those she wants at a later stage in her life .Hope she has a happy life now n has a good man to care for her and love n protect her she deserves it .

I was curious as to the circumstances of this young girl becoming a Mum, vaguely recalling the headlines so long ago when I was of a similar age. An enthralling and honest book, giving insight into the life Tressa lead as a child. I’m left with nothing but admiration for Tressa.

Wow….. what an incredible read! Longer in length than most “true stories”, and this is so unbelievable, you would think some of it is fiction, but it really is a true account.

Can’t say i enjoy reading stuff like this but i was intrigued to hear this baby girls story. Knew when the story came out at age 12 and pregnant this lass must have had some awful life. She didn’t stand a chance with her upbringing but proved a persons will and determination with the help of good people can prevail. Got angry when she kept making the same wrong decisions but again thats all she knew. Do hope one day her child and her have a relationship better than the one she had with her biological mother? God bless
