Would you recognize a serial killer if you talked to one every day? Artist Lia Anderson doesn’t, and neither does anyone else who frequents the Mount Airy Dog Park. But a violent death brings Detective Peter Dourson into the close-knit group, and he is convinced someone is not who they seem. As the investigation uncovers secrets, Lia struggles to cope with warring emotions while a killer watches and plans.

woofingly great!

Starts off with an anonymous person plotting to kill her husband, not in a cruel way, or for undue reasons! The plans are well thought out, IMO!

Caught me out.

Was not too sure when I started to read this book and then it got me and pulled me in. Turned out to be a good fun read especially with the dog elements and a touch of murder and romance. But I did not expect the epilogue to disclose what it did. Thought I might have had it all worked out but it caught me. You will have to read this now to find it all out as I will have to read the next book to find out whodunnit, maybe.

I was just recently given a kindle as a birthday present and decided to start using it instead of blasting my ears out with music everyday on my way to work.

Fresh entertaining story. The first in the Dog Park Mystery Series. Easy read about Lia and her friends who met in the Dog Park while exercising their dogs. Very well written, drawing you into the group of friends who also love solving a murder mystery. Excellent start to a brilliant series.

Well written and intriguing

A very well-written and absorbing mystery which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The characters and sense of place are very well done, not too surprisingly since the story is set in the author’s own hometown and some of her friends figure as characters. I have given it only four stars because the ending is unsatisfactory. This seems to me a free book meant to pique one’s interest so that one will buy the next book in thehopeof finding out more. I have phrased this carefully in order to avoid giving away the plot, but for me it did end on a disappointing note.

was I happy to be surprised(

Don’t be fooled that this is a story about canines solving murders. No; this is a well crafted and structured mystery whodunnit novel, which I wasn’t expecting after I read the blurb on Amazon. Boy, was I happy to be surprised(?)

Loveable Dogs and Lovely Lia

I loved the characters, including all the dogs at the park. This was a mystery that caused the reader to suspect one character after another of the murders. It was well plotted and and enjoyable read. I’ve already purchased the next book in the series.
