THIS BOOK WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

This Book has officially changed my life.

The only book that succeeded in leading me away from being lost in the social world.

The only book that succeeded in leading me away from being lost in the social world. Unlike most How to books, Carnegie is capable of bringing insight on top of telling you what to do. Imagine someone telling you to blindly follow a rule, while another makes you understand the reasoning behind his rule before giving you the choice to do it, which would succeed? Carnegie’s insight in his book is mind opening, and the best part is that his insights made sense to the point that I do not need to forcefully memorise his rules in social interactions because it’s something that sticks in your mind wherever you go, whoever you meet.

Well I hate the narration of this audio book!

If you only ever read one book – this is it!

This book is an absolute must-read! For anyone! I keep re-reading it over and over again, it is more of a guide that one needs to get back to rather than a one-off bedtime read. It teaches easy tricks on how to get to people and influence them successfully (in a non-manipulative way)

I’m giving this book 5 stars for at least giving some sound grounding for social interactions! well structured with great tips.

It is a brilliant book for a reason

This is an incredible book that is simple read but hard to follow and put into practice. When reading it, you will think it is simple advice and ‘yeah I can do it’. But that is just merely reading it. Yet, when you’re in the heat of the moment, you will realise that all this time you have been living like the ‘fool’ that Carnegie refers to.

So far, I love it

I haven’t read through the whole book yet but the tips I have gone through are quality. Yes, a lot of it is obvious, such as the power of a smile (I grasped this early on in life and even now, I get almost a little butterfly attack in my tummy from exchanging smiles with a random stranger on the tube or the street!), or to really listen to someone to get them to like you, but this book has an unusual approach. I love the fact that Carnegie urges us to ‘become genuinely interested in other people’ – because YES, there is a huge difference between faking an interest and being interested. It’s also an eye-opener in terms of how uninterested most people are in YOU… It says something like: ‘Of course, you are interested in what you want. You are eternally interested in it. But nobody else is.’ TRUE! But everyone wants to believe others are interested in what they want.
