Seven seconds. That's all it took for Web London to lose everything: his friends, his team, his reputation. Point man of the FBI's super-elite Hostage rescue Team, Web roared into a blind alley towards a drug leader's lair, only to meet a high-tech, custom-designed ambush that killed everyone around him. Coping with the blame-filled words of anguished widows and the suspicions of colleagues, Web tries to put his life back together. To do so, he must discover why he was the one man who lived through the ambush – and find the only other person who came out of the alley alive . . . a ten-year-old boy who has since disappeared. Acting on his instincts, Web believes he knows where the killer will strike next. Only this time, he may not survive the attack. In this extraordinary work, Baldacci uses his unsurpassed storytelling skills to explore the essence of survival itself, as a conspiracy of violence surrounds an FBI agent whose fate was to be the . . . LAST MAN STANDING.

Gripping!

Another David Baldacci page-turner – always get a good read from this author! Lead Characters finely portrayed – warts and all! I’ve had great pleasure reading most of his books – but, thankfully, I’ve more to read and enjoy! Would never hesitate to recommend any David Baldacci novel! If you haven’t already discovered this author, do what I do, buy, read and ENJOY! You’ll not regret it!

Another cracker.

Another David Baldacci that has you wondering where it is all going to end. It’s difficult to put the book down, there are enough twists and turns to keep you enthralled and an interesting ending.

Enjoyable

Lots of twists and turns that kept me coming back for more. Entertaining and enjoyable story even though I didn’t like the main characters name!

A bit slow to begin with, lots of innate detail on guns

Really liked the characters didn’t like how it took 2 pages to tell me one line that meant something. Highly detailed on weapons and procedures…..imagine a former soldier appreciating the authors efforts.

Another great book from David Baldacci.

Another Baldacci

This is a good novel but one of Baldacci’s best. Some chapters are too long, story drifts at times. When it returns to the plot the usual great story telling is there. From time to time too much poetic license is used. Saying all that I did enjoy it, definitely worth reading.
