A must read for any Killers fan

As a self confessed ‘Victim’ I’ll admit I’m ever so slightly biased! That said however, I think any music fan will find this a pretty entertaining read. It follows the band’s incredible journey from struggling Vegas outcasts to global superstars. Particularly interesting are the recent interviews with Mark and Dave, which give a rare insight into the habitually quieter half of the band. Could not put it down… literally; I read it in its entirety in one sitting!

Thorough and interesting account

Although the beginning is more interesting than the end, it is about the right length to cover the history in reasonable detail. My only criticism is there is too much in footnotes that could have been included in the main text.

how they came to love music, how they cane to meet and everything …

As a huge fan of The Killers from the word go, this is an absolute must read. Charting the story of the boys from their childhoods, how they came to love music, how they cane to meet and everything that has happened to them over the last 10 years right up to just a few months ago.

perfect.

Although American rockers The Killers have been one of my very favourite bands over the past decade or so, it was always the music I cared about. Until taking a dive into music journalist Mark Beaumont’s biography of these four men, I knew very little about the band on a personal level, despite being able to easily recite the lyrics to just about every song. Therefore, I never read many of their interviews in the newspapers and magazines, so the majority of the information in here was new to me. If you’ve followed them closer than what I have, you might well have a different opinion of ‘Days & Ages’, but I found it informative and insightful.
