Sometimes secrets surface after the wedding date. Another scintillating tale from the bestselling author of One Perfect Summer and Lucy in the Sky

'Don't wait for the storm to pass; learn to dance in the rain…'
Laura has been married to the man of her dreams for seven months. But a week before the wedding, Matthew made a terrible mistake.

Escaping the humiliation that is now her marriage, Laura is whisked off to Florida's Key West by her best friend Marty. A carefree holiday full of cocktails and fun, surrounded by gorgeous, tanned men, is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Distraction comes in the form of sexy Cuban scuba diver Leo. Laura's instant attraction to him knocks her flying, and she falls hard.
As the end of the holiday approaches, Laura doesn't want to go home. Is it time to face the music? Or is there more to Key West than a holiday romance?

Laura and Matthew have been happily married for 7 months until Laura learns that Matthew made a terrible mistake a week before the wedding. To help Laura deal with her marriage crisis her friend Marty takes her along on her holiday to Miami. I am actually travelling to Miami later in the year and am very excited, so figured what better way to prepare myself than by reading Paige Toon’s new release. Ever since reading Jonny Be Good by Toon I have read quite a few more of hers and was really looking forward to this one.

The Longest Holiday was BY FAR the best thing I read on holiday (I read 10 books) …

I’ll admit right here that I regret not reading this book sooner. I met the lovely Paige Toon at a signing in September and she signed my copy of The Longest Holiday, but I didn’t want to ruin my signed copy.

Couldn’t put it down but this

I loved this book my third by this author and I couldn’t put it down. A story about love triangle, marriage, a sexual encounter and a baby. The longest Holiday is newly wedded Laura and her friend go to Key west but Laura stays until her visa allows… she has met friends and stays and whilst she’s recovering from the sinister thing her husband did she’s having her own fun.

Good story but annoying characters!!

I really do love all of Paige Toons novels although they do tend to be very predictable, this one I did enjoy and I did find myself unsure of how it would end which is unusual as I usually know what’s coming! There were a few twists and turns which were entertaining but the major flaw for me were some of the characters were so unlike able. The main characters best friend Marty, her mother and even her husband, the way they all act as if his infidelity and getting another woman pregnant is not a big deal and something she should forgive really infuriates me . I find myself shouting at the book willing her to fall it with them as its disgusting behaviour!! However other than this the book was enjoyable and she’s done well yet again.

A brilliant, fun read.

This is a brilliant chick lit. I’d only read one Paige Toon before this and it stuck with me so I’ve been on the look out for another and I was delighted to come across this one. I was even more delighted when half way through I realised I recognised one of the characters as a secondary character from the previous story I read. I’ve since discovered that this is something the author does regularly, and I’ll definitely be searching out more.

This is the story of Laura, who has just had a bombshell dropped on her from a great height. Her husband has done the unthinkable and is about to be a dad, but not to Laura’s baby. In an attempt to remove herself from the situation, Laura jets off to Florida with her two girlfriends, hoping that a break away will let her clear her head, get her thoughts and feelings in order. While enjoying the laid back, sun-drenched atmosphere of Key West, Laura meets diving instructor Leo and finds herself having to decide if her holiday should be extended or if it is time to return to the UK.

Loved it!

I loved reading this book. It was one of those books that hooks you in and then you just can’t put down because you need to know how it ends.

Another page-turner from Paige!

I enjoyed this book as it was a nice pace with just the right details and it’s true to life, with the way we think and feel about situations.
